Steven Johnson Takes Hillary to School Over GTA

This guy is rapidly becoming a hero of mine. In this open letter published in the LA Times, he pretty much calls Hillary's bluff over the current outrage over the Hot Coffee mod/patch/glitch/joke in GTA: SA. He is the guy that wrote "Everything Bad Is Good For You: How Today's Popular Culture Is Actually Making Us Smarter."

iTunes Phone Coming to Sprint?

With the hype machine surrounding the long-rumored iTunes phone in full swing, I decided to indulge myself in some wishful thinking. I took a chance and emailed Sprint Customer Service about the possibility of Sprint carrying an iTunes enabled phone.

Now I don’t have an outsourcing to English dictionary, but the response I received from “Spike” at Sprint didn’t seem to completely rule out a Sprint iTunes phone. According to Spike, Sprint has received “lots’ of email from our customer to hear the songs.” Well said, Spike. As a Sprint customer, I do long to hear the songs.

Take a look at Spike’s nearly incomprehensible response below and let me know what you think:

“Dear James,

We are glad to receive an email from you.

Sprint currently come up with the call tones feature. The Call Tones
allow each person calling the Sprint customer to hear the songs and
sounds chosen by that customer, instead of the boring old ringing sound.
Unlike Ring Tones that are only heard by the user, Call Tones are
essentially shared with everyone calling that user! And they can be
customized based on calling party.

We are currently not offering the built-in iTunes capability phones. We
are getting lots' of email from our customer for these phones to be
available in the market. I have forwarded your email to the concerned
department, the dedicated specialist of this department conduct's
regular meeting with the representative's of the phone manufacturer's.
They are negotiating on this matter. I assure you that soon these
phones will be available in the market.

You can view the phones offered by us through the following hyperlink:

The features of these handset are also available there.

You can also talk to our telesales department at 1-800-480-4727
regarding the phone.

We look forward to your continued patronage.

Sprint Business eCare”

Odds are that Sprint brass will continue to ignore their customers and offer outdated handsets with features crippled to an insane degree. We will know soon enough.
